Let our children make a difference with love and care

As the premier jewellery brand in Greater China, Chow Tai Fook has won the trust of consumers with its sophisticated craftsmanship and diverse product range. The brand was recently awarded a product license from Disney to exclusively release a series of Winnie the Pooh accessories and decorations. To remark the partnership, Chow Tai Fook exquisitely presents “The World's Largest Gold Winnie the Pooh” with the approximate height of 113cm and approximate weight of 448 taels (approximate weight of 529 taels including the  gold flower decorations) which will be publicly showcased at K11 Art Mall, Tsim Sha Tsui. To pass along the message of friendship and loving care exemplified by Winnie the Pooh, Chow Tai Fook and The Boys' and Girls' Clubs Association of Hong Kong (BGCA) co-organised a children drawing competition among primary school students themed around the heart-warming stories of the character. Awards will be presented to the awardees at the unveiling ceremony, in the hope that they will spread their selfless care for others to people around them.

Winnie the Pooh's rotund figure has long endeared him to kids and adults alike. The character's kind and authentic personality is a perfect match to Chow Tai Fook's philosophy of “Sincerity.Eternity”. Riding on the adventure stories of Winnie the Pooh, Chow Tai Fook presents ”The World's Largest Gold Winnie the Pooh” which can show the vivacious personality of him − standing with his hands on his waist, looking up proudly with a big smile on his face. Chow Tai Fook's experienced craftsmen spent more than four months to meticulously sculpt the giant figurine. To fully capture Winnie the Pooh's signature plump honey-coloured body, Chow Tai Fook's craftsmen masterfully combined advanced electrocasting and polishing technology as well as the ingenious play of reflectance to create detailed Winnie the Pooh. Chow Tai Fook also complemented the giant Winnie the Pooh with 31 hand-crafted flowers, as if he is surrounded by the flourishing blossoms, looking innocent and happy as usual.

To pass along the message of friendship and loving care exemplified by Winnie the Pooh, Chow Tai Fook and The Boys' and Girls' Clubs Association of Hong Kong (BGCA) co-organised a children drawing competition themed around the heart-warming stories of Winnie the Pooh and his friends. Over 100 primary school students participated in the competition and 15 of them were presented with awards at the unveiling ceremony. The awardees also received Disney's story books and book coupons to instil an early love of reading among them and to encourage them to help those in need. During the prize presentation, the winners shared with the audience the design behind their works and how Winnie the Pooh inspired them to care for others.

According to Mr Alan Chan, Director of Group Branding Department, Chow Tai Fook Jewellery, “Chow Tai Fook is extremely honoured to be awarded a product license from Disney to manufacture Winnie the Pooh accessories and decorations exclusively. We are also proud to present the world's largest gold Winnie the Pooh, echoing with Chow Tai Fook's leading position. With Winnie the Pooh's lively and vivacious personality, we hope to spread the message of friendship and loving care among children, so that they’d understand what a blessing it is to be the one on the giving end. We also hope to inspire children to be loving and caring at an early age.”

Lilian Law, J.P., Executive Director, The Boys' & Girls' Clubs Association of Hong Kong, said, “Thanks to Chow Tai Fook's generous support, we were able to put together such a meaningful drawing competition. As children recreated Winnie the Pooh's stories with their own brushstrokes and shared with us their thoughts behind those stories, his optimistic, gentle and helpful nature also rubbed off on them. This event let children slowly learn to share all beautiful things in life with others while accommodating and caring for others. They will all benefit from such events as they grow up.”

Exclusively introduced by Chow Tai Fook, the Winnie the Pooh series, with its delicate and detailed design, is suitable for consumers of all ages and perfect as gifts. The series is available at all Chow Tai Fook stores in Hong Kong and Macau now. Meanwhile, the world's largest gold Winnie the Pooh will be on display at K11 Art Mall, Tsim Sha Tsui. Admission is free and all are welcome.
