Crayon Shinchan Run 2026 Official Terms & Conditions

REGISTRATION

1. Participants must study the event rules and regulations carefully. Upon submitting an entry, the participant is deemed to have accepted all Terms and Conditions of the Event, the Official Rules as stipulated and to those that may be later introduced by the Organizer/Event Producer.
2. All of the information provided by a participant in the registration form must be true and accurate.
3. Each participant shall be physically fit and able to participate in the Event. The Organizer/Event Producer reserves the right to disallow/disqualify any person who is known or suspected by the Organizer/Event Producer to be physically unfit to participate in the Event and such person shall accept such decision of the Organizer/Event Producer accordingly.
4. Participation in the Event is voluntary and at the own risk of participants. Each participant agrees to absolve the Organizer, Event Producer and any sponsors and/or supporting organizations from all liabilities arising from bodily injuries, accidents, death or other losses during or caused by travelling to and from the event venue during the event or whatsoever reason.
5. All participants below 18 years old must obtain the consent of a parent / guardian.
6. On-site registration is not accepted. The Organizer/Event Producer reserves the right to decide whether to accept the entries submitted by the participants.
7. The Organizer/Event Producer reserves the right to close the registration any time, whether before or after the registration deadline specified, without prior notification.
8. If participants do not collect their race pack or merchandise on the event day, they must contact the organizer's customer service within one month after the event to arrange for collection. Late requests will not be accommodated.

CHANGE OF REGISTRATION DETAILS

1. No refund and transfer are allowed after registration is completed.
2. If a participant allows another party to attend on his or her behalf, both participant and the person who runs on behalf of the participant will be disqualified and might not be allowed to participate in the remaining races and future events.
3. Please contact the Organiser by WhatsApp (66604683) for any request for amending registration information. HK$100 administration fee will be charged for each request.

RACE

1. The timing chip is attached to the back of the race bib. Do not bend the chip, as this may cause damage or malfunction, resulting in the inability to record your time.
2. The bib should be pinned visibly on the chest for easy identification by event staff. Failure to do so may result in disqualification from the race.
3. Prize winners must present identification documents, including the Hong Kong Identity Card, Passport, or Registration Card for People with Disabilities, to the organizer for identity verification.
4. Appeals regarding the winners' list must be submitted in writing to the event enquiry counter within 30 minutes of the results being announced. Each appeal must be accompanied by a HK$100 processing fee. If the appeal is successful, the fee will be refunded.
5. Participants agree that officials, medical personnel, the Race Director, or security personnel have the authority to require a participant to withdraw from the race/event and to cancel their participation eligibility.
6. If a participant causes the Organizer / Event Planner to incur additional expenses due to intentional damage during the race/event, the participant must provide reasonable compensation to the Organizer / Event Planner.
7. The Organizer / Event Planner reserves the right to disqualify the results of any person who tampers with, violates, or fails to comply with any of the event regulations. The entry fee for disqualified participants will not be refunded.
8. The organizer will take out third-party insurance for the event. Participants are responsible for their own personal insurance.
9. The Organizer / Event Planner reserves the right to amend the event terms and conditions. In case of any disputes, the Organizer / Event Planner reserves the right of final decision.

USE OF PERSONAL DATA

1. The Organizer / Event Producer and its agents shall have the absolute discretion to use any photographs, video, or any other record of the Event for any lawful purposes including advertising and promotion of the event.
2. The Organizer / Event Producer; and its authorized service providers (if any) will use the information that you supplied for the following:
   1. Announcement of results
   2. Processing administrative work related to registration, including endorsement, receipt issuance, payment notice issuance, donation record, and relevant event notices, etc.;
   3. Recording any communication with the participant
   4. Preventing and detecting any activities that make use of this website for fraudulent or exploitative behavior, or activities that allow third parties to provide technical support and backup work in the name of this website
   5. Identifying the user or participant
   6. Providing the latest news and events of Joyous Events (International) Limited
   7. Any other legitimate purposes as may be required, authorized, or permitted by law
   8. The personal data provided by participants may be disclosed to other organizations for the purposes mentioned above.
   9. The Organizer / Event Producer will never lease, exchange or sell the personally identifiable information that you have voluntarily supplied to us, including email address and telephone number.

EVENT CANCELLATION & REFUND POLICY

1. The Organizer / Event Producer reserves the right to cancel or cut short the event for the following reasons:
   1. Adverse weather conditions
   2. Landslides, rockfalls, or hill fires along the course
   3. Protests or blockage along the course
   4. Force majeure i.e. due to occurrence of incidents that are beyond the control of the organizer and which renders it impossible, unsafe, or impractical to hold the event. A force majeure event shall include but is not limited to, the act of God, war, hostilities, invasion, rebellion, revolution, insurrection, riot, commotion, strikes, go-slows, lockouts, or disorder, an outbreak of disease, acts, or threats of terrorism.
2. In such a refund of the registration fee (and any charitable donation) will not be provided.
3. The Organizer / Event Producer reserves the right to finalize the event details. Any changes or contingent measures for the event announced by the Organizer / Event Producer on the event's website shall prevail.

BAD WEATHER

• If typhoon signal no. 8 or above, or Black rainstorm warning signal is issued by the Hong Kong Observatory after 00:00 am on 14 June 2026, the event will be cancelled.
• Other than the above scenarios, should weather conditions turn bad or the aforesaid signals are issued during the race, the organizer may modify the event schedule or cancel the event.
• Regardless of whether the event has already started, the organizer and police are in charge of making collective decisions for event cancellation.
• If the race is canceled during the middle of the event, swimmers will be directed to leave the race track under safe conditions by marshals.
