These terms and conditions apply to the Chow Tai Fook Membership Programme in Hong Kong and Macao (the “Programme”). It is the responsibility of any person applying to be a member (an “Applicant”) and each member of the Programme (a “Member”) to readand understand them.
These terms and conditions must be read in conjunction with the terms and conditions set out on any membership card issued (including physical and electronic membership cards), any gift voucher/coupon (including physical and electronic gift vouchers/coupons), the Programme handbook (including physical and electronic handbooks), the Programme website at https://www.chowtaifook.com/zh-hk/ctf-club (the “Website”), the Chow Tai Fook Membership Programme mobile application (the “App”), and the terms and conditions as stated in other documents and the Privacy Policy as provided by Chow Tai Fook Jewellery Company Limited and/or its subsidiaries or affiliates (collectively “Chow Tai Fook”) from time to time (together, including these terms and conditions, the “Terms”).
By submitting a completed Application Form or otherwise becoming a Member, an Applicant acknowledges that he/she has read, understood and agreed to comply with all of the Terms.
1.1 The Programme is offered and managed by Chow Tai Fook.
1.2 The Programme offers different membership tiers, including Friend, Red, Silver, Gold, Platinum, Diamond and Black memberships.
1.3 Without limiting Chow Tai Fook’s rights under the Terms, in particular its rights of suspension and termination, Members must comply with all of the Terms in order to maintain their memberships and enjoy the benefits and privileges granted to Members.
1.4 Chow Tai Fook reserves the right, to the extent permitted by applicable law, to amend, supplement or otherwise revise the Terms from time to time and will notify Members where required by applicable law. In the event of any inconsistencies between the Terms, the terms and conditions set out on the Website will prevail, unless specifically stated otherwise. Use of the Website is further subject to the legal and privacy terms found on the Website.
1.5 Membership is not transferable and may only be used by the named Member. Misuse of membership or Programme benefits and privileges may result in the suspension or termination of membership or the withdrawal or forfeiture of benefits and privileges (including accrued benefits and rewards).
1.6 Members are required to inform Chow Tai Fook of any change in personal particulars as soon as reasonably practicable, but always in accordance with the Terms, by either of the following methods:
i) completing the “Member Information Update Form” in person at any Chow Tai Fook store in Hong Kong or Macao (excluding the Hong Kong Disneyland and Hong Kong Disneyland Castle stores) (a “Chow Tai Fook Store”) and returning the completed form to any Chow Tai Fook Store; or
ii) updating the information on the “My Account” page of the Website or the App. Members must provide Chow Tai Fook with current and accurate details of their mobile phone number and/or email address. Chow Tai Fook shall not be liable for any loss arising from a Member’s failure to notify Chow Tai Fook of any change to his/her mobile phone number and/or email address.
1.7 Programme membership and information relating to membership, such as a Member’s Qualifying Spending (as defined below), will be kept in Chow Tai Fook’s records and such records will be conclusive evidence and the sole basis for the calculation and determination of all Member benefits and privileges.
1.8 In the event of any dispute arising out of or relating to the Programme or individual membership, Chow Tai Fook reserves the right to make sole and final decisions.
2.1 Any individual aged 18 or above may register as a Chow Tai Fook Member. Upon successful registration verification, the Member will immediately receive an electronic membership card and become a Friend Member, and may begin to accumulate spending (“Qualifying Spending”) for the calculation of membership tier. If the accumulated Qualifying Spending meets the requirements for the Red, Silver, Gold, Platinum or Diamond membership tiers, the relevant membership tier willbe upgraded accordingly.
2.2 Upon registration as a Chow Tai Fook Member, a Member may become eligible to activate Chow Tai Fook Reserve Pass.
2.3 Membership in the Programme is for individual, natural persons only. Joint or duplicate applications, or applications made by or on behalf of any companies, corporations, partnerships, businesses, legal entities or other organisations will not be accepted.
2.4 Members can enroll in both the Programme and the Chow Tai Fook membership programme in other regions. However, before a Member opts to merge his/her membership accounts in different regions (each an “Account”), each programme and membership is separate and independent, and the accumulated Qualifying Spending and membership tiers shall be calculated independently and cannot be combined. If the Member opts to merge the Accounts in different regions and successfully activates a Global Membership account (“Global Membership”), the Qualifying Spending and membership tiers may then be accumulated and shared across regions for membership upgrade or maintenance purposes. However, the Points (as defined in section 4 below) in each region’s Account cannot be shared, converted or combined even after the Accounts in different regions have been merged, and must be accumulated and used separately in the respective Accounts.
2.5 Applicants can apply for membership by completing an electronic application form through any of the following three channels:
i) the App;
ii) the Website; or
iii) any Chow Tai Fook Store.
Each person can only apply for one Programme membership and each valid mobile phone number or email address can only be bound to one Programme membership.
2.6 Applicants must complete all mandatory items upon registration and provide true and accurate information. Chow Tai Fook reserves the right not to consider or process any incomplete application form.
2.7 During the membership registration process, the Applicant will receive a one-time SMS verification code (the “Code”). The Applicant is required to enter the Code within the specified time to complete the membership registration process and become a Member. An Applicant who fails to complete the membership registration process in time will not be able to become a Member.
2.8 Chow Tai Fook has the sole and final right to approve or reject any membership application regardless of whether an Applicant has met any or all of the criteria for membership.
3.1 Membership tiers
The Programme offers the following membership tiers:
Black membership: Members specially invited to join will be granted Black membership.
Diamond membership: Members who accumulate HKD 300,000 in Qualifying Spending will be granted Diamond membership.
Platinum membership: Members who accumulate HKD 100,000 in Qualifying Spending will be granted Platinum membership.
Gold membership: Members who accumulate HKD 25,000 in Qualifying Spending will be granted Gold membership.
Silver membership: Members who accumulate HKD 5,000 in Qualifying Spending will be granted Silver membership.
Red membership: Members who accumulate HKD 1 in Qualifying Spending will be granted Red membership.
Friend membership: No spending is required. Applicants who complete the membership registration process will become Friend Members.
3.2 Membership Period
3.2.1 Friend membership is valid indefinitely. The Membership Period for Red, Silver, Gold, Platinum and Diamond membership tiers is valid for one year from the date on which Chow Tai Fook approves the application or the change in membership tier, as applicable (based on Chow Tai Fook’s records), until the last day of the same month in the following year. This Membership Period does not apply to Black membership.
3.2.2 Once a membership is upgraded or downgraded, the effective new Membership Period will be recalculated from the date of upgrade or downgrade, as applicable, and will be valid for 12 months (except for Friend Members, whose membership is valid indefinitely).
3.3 Qualifying Spending
3.3.1 A Member’s Qualifying Spending is accumulated within the Membership Period applicable to the Member’s membership tier.
3.3.2 Qualifying Spending:
i) must be made in a Chow Tai Fook Store and/or through the official Chow Tai Fook website and cannot be made through any other channels;
ii) excludes repair orders, the old-gold portion of gold trade-in transactions/the old-merchandise portion of exchange transactions, amounts offset by gift vouchers or coupons, pure gold nuggets, investment gold, corporate gifts/custom orders/custom gift moulds (and any other item determined by Chow Tai Fook from time to time in its sole discretion);
iii) to be accumulated, requires provision of a valid membership number at the time of purchase. For the avoidance of doubt, any spending for which a valid membership number is not provided at the time of purchase, or for which a valid membership number is submitted only after completion of the purchase, cannot be credited retrospectively to the membership Account as Qualifying Spending; and
iv) Qualifying Spending earned from any void or buy-in transaction will be cancelled and deducted from the Qualifying Spending record in the Member’s Account.
3.3.3 All Qualifying Spending is non-transferable and accumulated Qualifying Spending amongst different membership Accounts cannot be combined.
3.3.4 At the end of each Membership Period, or after any downgrade of a membership tier, the Member’s accumulated Qualifying Spending balance will be reset to zero.
3.3.5 If a Member has activated Global Membership, Qualifying Spending generated by the Member in the Hong Kong and Macao Chow Tai Fook market will be converted at the rate of 1 Qualifying Spending = 1 Global QS for the determination of the Global Membership tier. The Member will enjoy the Member benefits provided in these Membership Terms and Conditions according to that Global Membership tier. For details of Global Membership, please refer to the “Chow Tai Fook Global Membership Activation and Service Agreement”.
3.4 Membership upgrade, renewal and downgrade
3.4.1 Membership upgrade

| Red | HKD 1 | Red |

Note:
* Friend membership does not require renewal and is valid indefinitely.
* Except for Friend Members, if a Member of any tier fails to separately accumulate the amount of Qualifying Spending required for renewal within the applicable Membership Period, the membership will be downgraded by one tier upon expiry of the current Membership Period.
3.4.3 Membership downgrade
If a Member fails to meet the upgrade or renewal requirements before the expiry of the applicable Membership Period, the membership will be automatically downgraded upon expiry. For the avoidance of doubt, for example, a Platinum Member will be downgraded to Gold membership, and a Red Member will become a Friend Member. Friend membership will not be downgraded.
Note:
* If a return or exchange transaction for any reason results in the cancellation or deduction of Qualifying Spending accumulated from the original purchase, such that the Member no longer meets the Qualifying Spending requirement for the relevant membership tier, the membership will be downgraded to the appropriate tier.
4.1 Members must provide a valid membership number to earn or use Points. For the avoidance of doubt, any spending for which a valid membership number is not provided at the time of purchase, or for which a valid membership number is submitted only after completion of the purchase, cannot be credited retrospectively to the membership Account for theaccumulation of Points.
4.2 Rules for rebating and redeeming Points:
4.2.1 Points are calculated based on the independent net spending amount of each product purchased and sales invoices cannot be combined. If the net spending amount has decimal places, it shall be rounded down to the nearest integer.
4.2.2 Spending on repair orders, the old-gold portion of gold trade-in transactions/the old-merchandise portion of exchange transactions, amounts offset by gift vouchers or coupons, pure gold nuggets, investment gold, corporate gifts/custom orders/custom gift moulds, watches, watch accessories, jewellery accessories, Chow Tai Fook Reserve payment portion (and any other item determined by Chow Tai Fook from time to time in its sole discretion) is not included in the calculation of Points.
4.2.3 When a Friend Member is upgraded to Red membership or above, the Qualifying Spending of the transaction that triggers the upgrade will be awarded Points in accordance with the Point-earning rules applicable to the upgraded membership tier.
4.2.4 For Members already in the Red tier or above, when a membership upgrade occurs, the Qualifying Spending of the transaction that triggers the upgrade will be awarded Points in accordance with the Point-earning rules applicable to the pre-upgrade membership tier. Any Qualifying Spending incurred after the upgrade takes effect will be awarded Points in accordance with the Point-earning rules applicable to the upgraded membership tier.
4.2.5 The Points redemption rate is 50 Points = HKD 1 or the equivalent value in the applicable local currency. Where a membership Account contains more than 50 Points, Points may only be redeemed against cash spending in multiples of 50. Any balance of less than 50 Points cannot be redeemed against cash spending.
4.2.6 Tier-based redemption benefit: Platinum Members and above may use Points against cash spending at the applicable redemption multiplier for their membership tier when purchasing designated jewellery products.
Note:
* Designated jewellery products include diamond, pearl, gemstone, jade, platinum and tin-gold jewellery products (excluding gold-mounted products).
4.2.7 Points can only be used in Chow Tai Fook Stores in Hong Kong and Macao.
4.2.8 Except as specifically otherwise provided by Chow Tai Fook, Points awarded from eligible regular transactions are valid for 12 months from the date of distribution, whereas Points awarded pursuant to specific sales promotions or events may be subject to a different validity period, which may be shorter or longer as specified in the applicable promotion or event terms and conditions. Members are responsible for the consequences of any Points expiring and being reset to zero due to non-use, and Chow Tai Fook will not provide any compensation or refund.
4.2.9 Points can only be used in accordance with the Terms and any additional terms and conditions advised by Chow Tai Fook from time to time. Chow Tai Fook may adjust the rate at which Points are earned from spending from time to time in accordance with section 1.4. Chow Tai Fook may also determine the number of Points that Members may earn under any special rewards programme, facility or promotion.
4.3 No exchange, refund, replacement or redemption for cash, payment of accounts or otherwise will be given in any manner or form for any unspent or unused value of Points (if any, based solely on Chow Tai Fook’s records).
4.4 The calculation of refund amounts in respect of void transactions (e.g. transactions cancelled on the same day of purchase) and buy-in transactions (e.g. returns or exchanges of merchandise) shall be net of the value of any Points awarded in the original transaction. Points earned from void transactions and buy-in transactions will be deducted from the Account. If the Account balance of Points is insufficient for such deduction, the shortfall will be deducted from the refund amount.
4.5 The calculation of cash amounts required to top up in the event of any exchange purchase transaction (e.g. the exchange of a purchased item for another item of higher value) shall include the value of any Points originally used and/or rewarded. For the avoidance of doubt, exchange transactions shall require the Member to top up in cash the following two amounts:
i) the difference in price between the item of higher value and the exchanged item’s current market value; and
ii) the value of the Points originally used and/or rewarded (if there are insufficient Points to return in the event of an exchange transaction).
4.6 If Chow Tai Fook discovers any discrepancy or error in the distribution of Points caused by a system or network failure, Chow Tai Fook may correct and adjust such discrepancy or error after the failure has been resolved.
4.7 Members are fully responsible for keeping and securing their Account information. Chow Tai Fook shall not be liable for any loss or damage suffered directly or indirectly by Members as a result of and/or in relation to the Account being stolen, improperly used or disclosed to an unauthorised person.
4.8 Chow Tai Fook may, at any time and for such commercial considerations as it deems appropriate, amend, suspend or terminate the Points programme by giving Members prior notice within a reasonable period through a system announcement.
5.1 Chow Tai Fook makes no warranty or representation as to the continuity or duration of the Programme. Chow Tai Fook may, in its discretion and in accordance with section1.4, suspend or terminate the Programme and/or any membership at any time.
5.2 Chow Tai Fook may, in its sole discretion, immediately suspend or terminate the membership of any Member who fails to comply with the Terms. Upon termination, all accumulated Qualifying Spending, Member benefits and privileges shall be cancelled and be null and void. Chow Tai Fook may give a Member one month’s prior notice of termination of membership in any of the following circumstances:
i) the Member holds multiple memberships or membership Accounts;
ii) the Member transfers, lends or sells any membership, membership Account or Points through any public or private form or channel;
iii) the Member is suspected of engaging in money laundering, bribery and corruption, terrorist financing or any other activity in breach of the applicable laws and regulations of Hong Kong and Macao; or
iv) the Member otherwise breaches the Terms as updated from time to time.
5.3 Member may, within seven days of successful membership registration, proactively apply to withdraw from membership and complete the relevant procedures at any Chow Tai Fook Store in Hong Kong or Macao, without the need to provide any reason. Chow Tai Fook will complete the termination procedures within 15 working days after receipt of the application. Upon termination, the Member will immediately cease to enjoy any membership rights, will no longer be able to access transaction records and receipts, and all Points and other benefits in the membership Account will become void and will not be refunded in any form.
Special note:
* If the Member has activated Global Membership and linked membership Accounts in other regions, those linked regional membership Accounts will also be terminated when the Member applies to terminate his/her membership.
5.4 If a Member uses a membership Account or Member benefits to obtain improper benefits through any act, or fails to return the corresponding Points or other benefits after returning a purchase, Chow Tai Fook and its partners may require the Member to compensate them for the loss suffered. Termination of membership does not affect the right of Chow Tai Fook and its partners to pursue such claims against the Member under the Terms as updated from time to time.
6.1 Members may check their Qualifying Spending and Points records through any of the followingchannels:
i) logging into the membership Account through the Website or the App;
ii) calling the Chow Tai Fook Hong Kong and Macao customer service hotline (details are set out in section 10); or
iii) visiting any Chow Tai Fook Store.
6.2 Members must provide their membership number and any other information required by Chow Tai Fook to verify their identity when calling the Chow Tai Fook Hong Kong and Macao customer service hotline or visiting a Chow Tai Fook Store.
Chow Tai Fook will collect, use, disclose or transfer Members’ personal data in accordance with the Privacy Policy published on its website at https://www.ctfjewellerygroup.com/en/PrivacyPolicy/
9.1 Except as otherwise expressly provided in the Terms and to the greatest extent permitted by law, Chow Tai Fook is not liable (and excludes all liability) for any loss, damages or claims of any kind arising under, pursuant to or inconnection with the Programme, including all:
i) direct, special, indirect, consequential, incidental or punitive damages; and
ii) damages for economic loss, loss of profits, loss of revenue, loss of goodwill, loss of bargain or opportunity, loss of anticipated savings or loss or corruption of data, whether in contract, tort (including without limitation negligence), in equity, under statute, under an indemnity, based on fundamental breach or breach of a fundamental term or on any other basis, whether or not such loss or damage was foreseeable and even if advised of the possibility of the loss or damage.
9.2 Subject to section 9.3, any express or implied warranties, representations and statements given or made by Chow Tai Fook which relate to the Terms or their subject matter, and which are not specifically contained in the Terms, are excluded and disclaimed to the maximum extent permitted by law.
9.3 Nothing in the Terms excludes, restricts or modifies any condition, warranty, right or remedy implied or imposed by any statute or regulation which cannot lawfully be excluded, restricted or modified. If any condition or warranty is implied into the Terms under any law and cannot be excluded, and Chow Tai Fook is able to limit, restrict or modify the Member’s remedy for a breach of such a condition or warranty, then Chow Tai Fook’s liability for breach of the condition or warranty is limited to the maximum extent permitted by law and Chow Tai Fook may, in its discretion, elect between any options available to Chow Tai Fook to remedy the breach of such a condition or warranty.
